Inspired by Christina Rossetti’s poem “Clouds,” this evocative contemporary work paints a serene atmospheric soundscape with subtle “blue” jazzy diatonic harmonies, unfolding without breaks through four cloud-themed sections: Cumulus, Stratocumulus, Altocumulus, and Cirrostratus.Composed in 2021 during Lauren's residency with Harps North West, it offers accessible intermediate repertoire with a variety of extended techniques for added colour and texture.
Intermediate level for harp quartet/ensemble (4 parts) + optional easy 5th part for larger groups or mixed abilities.
