This is a fun medley for harp ensemble or harp quartet of the following Beatles tunes; Strawberry Fields, Norwegian Wood, (a snippet of) Hello Goodbye, A Day in the Life, Yellow Submarine
It can be played on either lever or pedal harps.
The 4 parts are equal in standard and contain an equal mixture of 'whizz bang' harp effects as well as tunes.
Each part is a multi-level part. What does this mean? It means that for less experienced players, please cherry pick what you want to play from your part. For intermediate level players, you should be able to play through most of the dots on your part, but again, if you need to skip a few bits that's fine. For advanced level players, dive a little deeper into the part and beyond playing the notes and look at the sounds you are creating as well as how that fits within the ensemble mix.
Please make sure that you have an equal distribution of standards of players on each part.
What's a superball? It's the green stick I use at the start on harp 3 and I talk about that in my zoom session video below. During the zoom session as well as working through the piece, I also demonstrate the effects and show alternative options for some of the effects.
Yellow Submarine has lots of harp sound effects, but if you want to add actual whistles/kazoos etc feel free to do so. The main thing is to have LOTS OF FUN!!

QUARTET - with chapters. Once you hit play, you can hover over the timeline to skip to various points within the piece. You can also click on the daisy wheel bottom left hand side of the player and adjust the playback speed to make it slower if you wish.

Zoom session with Harps North West
This is a recording of a 90 minute workshop with members of Harp North West. I work through the entire piece, section by section, demonstrating various techniques, suggesting fingerings and alternate ways of doing some of the effects.
