CREATIVE CHAMBER GROUPS AND PROJECTS Lauren Scott spends her time working on a project by project basis with various creative chamber groups. Current & past projects include; composing two volumes of original compositions for lever harp (published in 2018) which have received rave reviews from harp societies in the U.S, U.K and New Zealand. Performing & arranging for duos with soprano Anna-Clare Monk (in 2014 they gave performances with Foden’s Brass Band a mini-opera by Andy Scott at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Glasgow Commonwealth games as part of the PRS New Music Biennial), flutist Clare Southworth, harp duos with Eleanor Hudson and Alex Rider, a flute, viola & harp trio with Conrad Marshall & Raymond Lester, and with Andy Scott and Clare Southworth in a flute, saxophone & harp trio; ‘Caliente’. With the late Alison Stephens Lauren established a new repertoire for mandolin & harp with Duo Mandala and their CD "Tapestry", released on the Black Box label, was nominated for Editors Choice by Gramophone magazine. 👇 (more below)

COMMUNITY In 2010 Lauren founded the Sandbach Concert Series, a not-for-profit organization which promotes eight concerts a season combining professional musicians with local young musicians, an art exhibition and raises money for local good causes. Since its inception over 500 young musicians have either performed or taken part in workshops with the Sandbach Concert Series. In 2015, in conjunction with SCS, Lauren founded their annual youth music competition, Sandbach Concert Series Young Musician of the Year. As well as being in involved in promoting & encouraging youth music in her local area, Lauren is active in the wider UK harp community and was, for 5 years, chairman of the United Kingdom Harp Association; an organisation which puts on harp events & supports harpists across the UK.👇 (more below)
