Stravinsky's Firebird (3 harp version) has got to be one of the most amazing pieces out there! Playing in the harp section with Petrenko conducting at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Thursday 5th October. Tickets here Also in Preston on Sunday 8th October.
Throughout June & July I'll be working with the Northern Chamber Orchestra again for their annual residency at Buxton Festival.
This year I'll be playing harp in two operas as well as a concert by NCO during the festival.

I'l be playing the reduced chamber version (organ, harp & percussion) of Bernstein's Chichester Psalms with the Liverpool Welsh Choral at their concert at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool.

I know a lot of harpists are not so keen on playing this piece, but I love playing it! The epic Symphony Fantastique by Berlioz conducted by Vasily Petrenko, I'm on 2nd harp duties playing alongside the Phil's new principal harpist, Elizabeth McNulty.

This is a new one for me... Ravel's Piano Trio orchestrated for orchestra by Paul Tortelier who will also be conducting this concert.
I'm on 2nd harp duties and there are concerts in Liverpool on the 12th & 13 and in Sheffield on the 15th
This year I'm doing 4 performances of "A Flute & Harpy Christmas" in Cheshire, and I'll be joined by the wonderful Nichola Hunter on flute.
Three of them are private performances, between 21st-23rd December bringing a little bit of Christmas concert magic to elderly residents in care homes across Cheshire.
On the 22nd December we will be doing a public performance at St Mary's Church in Sandbach, and for that we'll be joined by special guests Nick Birch on Euphonium and Kevin Birch on Organ.
Nichola and I did a couple of duo outreach performances for the Snowman Tour at the end of November. We performed at the Manchester Childrens Hospital and then to a dementia unit in Eccles for Pro-Viva who are a wonderful forward-thinking caring organisation who sponsored one of the performances at this years Snowman Tour as a relaxed performance aimed at children and adults with a range of abilities and differing requirements.
Yay!!! It's that time of the year for The Snowman Tour. As featured in The Guardian, The Sunday Times and the Telegraph as one of the 'top things to do at Christmas'. A Screening of Raymond Brigg's classic Christmas film to live orchestra, with lots of other seasonal musical treats.

A glorious 7 harps are involved in Wagner's epic opera!
There are 6 harps on stage and I'll be playing the off-stage harp accompanying the Rhine maidens towards the end of the opera.

Playing harp with Psappha in Gavin Bryars Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet (22 strings, harp and tape).
The rest of the concert features the amazing "The Impossible Gentlemen" joining Psappha strings for a performance of Mike Walker's Ropes.
